Our mission is to be a quality educational center that makes a loving difference in the lives of young children and their families.
Learn to Live. Live to Learn. We help children to grow emotionally, intellectually, socially, creatively, physically, and in their understanding that each is a unique child of God. We create an excitement about learning through discovery and play that leads to academic success.
Curriculum. The teachers at the Ark use the Creative Curriculum to individualize lesson plans that align to Ohio Department of Education’s Academic Content Standards and Benchmarks.
Assessment. Through input from both parents and teachers, we complete the Ages & Stages Questionnaire to determine individual needs of children, and complete the Bracken testing, guided by trained 4C for Children personnel, to assess kindergarten readiness. Our teachers work closely with the West Clermont Local School District to ascertain the level of skills necessary to be successful in school.
Teacher Support. All our teachers receive training in CPR, First aid, Recognition of Communicable Diseases, and Recognition/Prevention of Child Abuse in addition to 10 hours per year of training in Child Development. We participate in the OCCRRA (Ohio Child Care Resource & Referral Agency) T.E.A.C.H. Scholarship opportunity to earn a Child Development Associate diploma and college credit.
